That Poisoned Electrick Head got their name from
the lyrics of the Bonzo Dog Band's song "My Pink Half of the Drainpipe".
They are the last words (almost) to be uttered.
That 2 members of the band do not appear on the back of the
first album - one is a girl who was forced into a mask to
make up the numbers, the other imposter was TELEBOT (this
is widely believed to mean BILL IS DEAD, BILL IS DEAD...)
That P.E.H. used to take a settee to gigs. This would be
placed at the front of the stage and the show would open
with Raegan & Thatcher taking their seats on said couch and
attempting to fornicate under the American flag to the
strains of Napoleon XIV's "Let's cuddle up in my security
blanket".
That the voice samples on "Immortal" and "Mortal" on
P.E.H.'s first album are taken from the 1974 John Boorman
film "ZARDOZ", a cult classic which features Sean Connery
and a 200ft flying stone head!
That rather like the late John Lennon who used to vomit
before every performance, one of P.E.H.'s ex-vocalists
suffered a similar affliction. The difference being that
Lennon didn't do it DURING the performance all over
McCartney's effects pedals and then claim afterwards he'd
had a "bad pint"!
